In Acts 2, when the church was birthed on the Day of Pentecost, therewas an explosion of growth. To handle the need presented to the church of that day, Home Churches were established.

Experiencing a period of growth, the Winterset Foursquare Church made the transition to that 1st century model of Home Cell Groups. Growth was not the only motivation that ushered in the change to Home Cell Groups. Recognizing a need for deep personal relationships, that are so absent in the electronic interaction society we live in, was another motivating factor. The relationships built, scriptures studied and prayers received in Home Cell Groups are a fresh breath of inspiration by Holy Spirit in the lives of those who participate.
